A Pretty Great Week

Hey there y'all!

Hope everything went as well out there this past week as it did here! We have really been having lots of fun with teaching and finding people to teach out here! We have also been finding some creative ways to find.

We went on exchanges this past week and I got to proselyte in the heart of our mission on Friday and that was kind of cool. We got to see some miracles and I learned a lot from my Sister Training leader about how important it is to start teaching right away! When we start teaching right away when we knock on a door the spirit comes quickly and it is a really cool experience not only for us but they can feel that too. This past week I really realized how may miracles we see everyday. It is kind of a miracle that strangers will just let us into their house everyday and let us teach them about the gospel. It is a miracle that people keep commitments in reading the scriptures and going to church. When we make an effort Heavenly Father gives us back so much more!

Yesterday we had a missionary fireside and it was pretty great! It was all about God's love for his Children. So funny story about it though. We texted the Elders in the ward if they needed any help with it because they put this one together and they texted back that they needed help but they did not say what with so we texted them back and asked what they needed. "Sister Mauck, one of our special musicals canceled, if I play the guitar will you sing?" Yes they asked me to sing the night before but I said yes and it was one of the coolest special musicals I have been able to be apart of and the investigators we had there thought it was the coolest thing that I could sing. The elder and I sang "Nearer, My God to Thee," and that is one of my favorite hymns and I talked him into singing as well so I did not have to do it all by myself and I was able to harmonize, it was super fun! The fireside was a success and we had a friend that has been learning for a few weeks come and he loved it and wants to meet more often now and is also on date to be baptized this next month!:)
