Alma 34:8-17

4.11.16

Hey Y’all,

Hope everything is going well where ever you all are at! We had a pretty good week here in the Teays Valley area in West Virginia. So this isn't my ponderizing scripture week, but it is a wonderful scripture of what the biggest part of this life is and why we can make it back home.

Last Monday we had the cutest Family Home evening with this family that we have been teaching and we watched a few Mormon messages with them and focused the Lesson on prayer and how we receive blessings. The 7-year-old daughter loved them and before we left their house she was watching more of them and really loved them. She cannot wait to be baptized in September when she turns 8. We see her often in the apartment complex and she will run up to us when she sees us, it really is the cutest thing ever.

We also started teaching this young family who has 2 little girls who are really excited about learning more about the restored gospel and the fact that there are prophets here on the Earth today! It really is such a blessing that we have that knowledge of modern day revelation that comes with a modern day prophet.  She is most excited about the youth programs for her girls when they get older. We have a lesson with them later this week and I cannot wait to teach them more.

Earlier this week we were eating at Wendy’s after a zone meeting and it was crazy windy outside right before we left and this guy stops and talks to us. We were talking to him about what we did at this time in our lives and it was the saddest thing when we were talking about God and the skewed vision he had of who God is. He told us that he had a few choice words for him when he meets him and how upset he was for the things that he had seen and had to go through in his lifetime. We tried to tell him that he was a literal Father in heaven but he didn’t want to hear it. My friends, brothers and sisters, never forget that no one is ever too far gone that they cannot use the Atonement which Christ as already paid for us. NEVER! That was even told to us by prophets and apostles just a few weeks ago! He loves each and every one of us and wants us to choose good so we can be blessed for it, but is there for us when we need to dust off and keep going.

I know that this gospel is truly where it is at, where pure joy and love is at. It is only in obeying Gods laws that we can find that pure happiness. I hope you all have a great week and remember that you are truly Royalty, Beloved Sons and Daughters of an almighty God, and never let anyone tell you otherwise, even the thoughts that come to your head.

Love Sister Mauck
