Hello, hello:)
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter, I sure did. Sacrament
meeting was one of the most powerful sacrament services I have been apart of,
probably considering my circumstances. First off one of the missionaries
serving from this ward came home on Wednesday and she and one of her sisters
spoke. And it being Easter there was a lot of music too. So this returned
missionary gives this super powerful talk on the importance of daily repentance
and talks about how much of a joy it is, and because of the Savior and that he
lives today we get to enjoy that. Also she read scripture after scripture of
the natural man and how we are born pretty much as enemies to God but through
the atonement we can be made whole and we can become Christ like and begin to
grow spiritually, it takes work but it is totally possible. Then her and her
like 7 siblings and parents sang this beautiful song, Come unto Christ, and
then another special musical of this amazing singer in the ward of a country
style of Amazing Grace, BEAUTIFUL! I don't think there were many dry eyes after
that service.
So earlier in the week we had this wonderful specialized
training as well with our mission president and Zone and it was a great meeting
filled with new things that we want to try. I realized that it takes just the
little things to make great things happen, and made goals as we were sitting
there listening of just a few little things that I wanted to change that would
make a huge difference.
Earlier in the week we had to travel to a part of our area,
St Albans and we were traveling there and we were coming around this corner and
about 20 feet in front of us this guy after we had come all the way around the
corner decides that he wants to pull out in front of us, we were literally
inches away from hitting him and if I would have been going even 5 miles an
hour faster we would have been toast. I am so glad that I was driving the speed
limit. We have this little angle thing in our car that says never drive faster than
an angel can fly, I know that that was the case that day. We were okay and I
have gained a testimony of how important it is to be obedient not only to the
obvious rules but even to the rules that seem to be petty but will really keep
us safe and protected! :)
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and that you were able
to learn something new and remember that it is important to remember the Savior
always! Love you and have a wonderful week!
Love Sister Mauck
