Hey There!
I hope you all are doing well and staying warm. The weather
here has reminded me a lot of home recently and is all over the place. We got
those how every many inches of snow and then all the sudden it was 50 degrees a
few days later it was raining and then it was almost 60 and now this week it is
supposed to snow. Crazy weather, nonetheless the work of the Lord goes on:)
So I wanted to tell you of the really cool experience we had
last week with one of our friends. So we tracted into this guy and he said to
come back on Tuesday so we came and had a member with us so we could go in and
we taught him one week about the book of Mormon and then next week the
restoration. Oh yeah and one thing I forgot to mention is that his first
language is Spanish. I took Spanish a little in high school but my first two
years. But this week we were able to take an RM with us who went to a Spanish
speaking country on his mission and it was really cool because even though I
did not know the language as I listened and prayed to understand what they were
saying, I felt like for the first time I really did have the gift to interpret
what they were saying and even though my companion and I were not really able
to teach while he was answering questions in Spanish we were able to bare
testimony at the end. The spirit was so strong and his face lit up as he
started understanding better what we were there for and what the book of Mormon
really was! A really cool experience:)
